choosing a lift kit manufacturer

Ok first a little back ground info on what I've got and what i'm planning on doing.
My truck is a 1988 V30 crew cab SRW with a 454/th400/np205 drive train and D60/Corp14 axle combo.
My plans are to build a 24 valve cummins turbo diesel with P7100 injection pump and no electronics backed by an NV4500 and my current NP205.
To accommodate the oil pan to front axle clearance i need a minimum of 6 inches of lift, i have decided to go with 8" of lift and 37" tires.
now onto my questions:
1: who still makes lift kits for our trucks? who's the best?
2: of these manufacturers who will modify their off the shelf kits with additional leafs?
3: If there is more than one company who will modify their kit to fit my needs who has the best customer service?

Please keep in mind that i will be adding about 500 lbs in the front end with the Cummins and need the suspension to support it and not sag excessively or break under the extra weight.
I do not want anything to do with lift blocks, they are deadly in the front and cause axle hop in the back.
I plan running crossover steering.

a few things
A my stock springs sagged under the cummins weight to where theres only 2" between the front springs and bump stops.
B get up with bajaburban as he does these swaps every month or week.
C im 100% sure hes put a lift kit in one swap with no sag just cant remember the details and dont want to give bad info

There is a suspension company that makes custom lift springs to your specifications, I'll see if I can find the info here shortly.

A 4" lift is plenty to clear the oil pan. Sky jacker and Rough Country are by far the stiffest on the market. I have done many many swaps and never have I seen a truck drop more than 3/4" from gasser to cummins.You definitely do not need "cummins swap custom springs". There are certain companies put there that sell these mounting kits with ridiculous stipulations like body lifts and major suspension lifts. That simply isn't true. We use our own mounts and cross members  (over 2000 satisfied customers) and never needed more than a 4" lift. Infact I have a customer who simply doubled his leaf springs for his dump truck and clears without issue. I will gladly forward you his contact information if you would like. Couldn't find the company I was originally thinking of, but ORD(Off Road Design) makes custom springs. They will also custom make a kit for you to make sure you have everything needed to put it together. I have never used any of there suspension products, but they do have other products that are very good quality, and customer service was good for me.

Deaver and Alcan make custom leaf springs.  ORD will also do custom leaf springs, but it is Alcan who makes them.  From my experience and hearing from others, ORD specs the springs for our trucks even better than Alcan themselves does.

If I was doing a new lift, I would go through ORD and get custom springs.  The ride will be much better than any off the shelf spring you can buy.
