Wheels for 1983 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4
« on: November 13, 2020, 09:23:23 PM »
Hello all and thanks for adding me to your group. I have  a 1983 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 with a snow plow on it. Right now it has 15” steel wheels on it. I would like to put 16” wheels from a 1998 Chevy suburban 4x4. Does anyone know if they will fit? I have been told I may have to bore center hole a bit but was wondering if they will clear brake caliper and tie rod ends ok. Anyone do this change. Thanks.

If you have access to them, make a side by side comp using various measuring tools.

Uncertain of the 5-lug, but I put 1999 Silverado K2500 wheels on my old 3+3 R3500 without issue.
