Would $2800 for an ‘85 jimmy that’s rust free but has a couple dents be a decent price? 4wd works and It runs and drives decent.  Engine was rebuilt but Supposedly has sat for a couple years now.

depending on the interior and if it truly is rust free, theyre known to rust out at the rear where the tailgate connects to the bed

The interior is dirty and shows some wear.  The driver carpet is the worst.  There was surface rust but otherwise the passenger floor rust areas and tailgate area were both solid
