Replacement Liquid Line between Condenser and Evaporator

Since nobody makes a replacement line besides the Suburban one with the Rear A/C port, I decided to make up my own! I found that Vintage Air sells their "U-Bend-Em" line of straight tubes with the proper swaged o-ring ends on them. I ordered some to recreate my stock liquid line that was crusty and damaged and also did not fit to the replacement "stock" condenser.
Here is my mock-up:
Any tips for successfully brazing 0.049" wall aluminum tube?! I keep blowing a hole through my trial sections of tube with my MAP-gas torch! I do get it brazed, but a hole in your line isn't going to work very well!

Broke down and got my liquid line TIG welded. Pressurized it and submerged underwater to ensure it was air-tight before installing.
Here is the old and the new!
And here is the new line installed on the truck!

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

AC Delco only makes the Suburban one with the extra Rear A/C Port. The one without Rear A/C is disco'ed and not even VPI has stock. There are some Rear A/C Block off kits that give you a machined slug of aluminum, an o-ring, and a nut to block off the rear port, but I wanted something that didn't have that extra port. I have also found that for whatever reason, be it a combination of OE and Aftermarket parts, but my original line did not align with my new condenser at all!
I didn't take the AC Delco 15568999 out of it's packaging from RockAuto to see if it fit or not, as I wanted to be able to freely return it. AC Delco 15568998 is the one without the Rear A/C port, but it is no longer available.
