So I noticed you welded in the cross member over the motor. So what happens if the motor goes and you need to pull it? Guess it isn't a big deal to cut and weld it back in place though when the time comes.

      It is not the easiest to see but the cross bar (over engine) I believe comes out, look closer at these 2 pics.

#1: The easiest and most obvious solution to any problem is 99% of the time correct.
#2: There is no such thing as impossible, it just takes longer.

So rust bullet sucks, more so the etch meathod i believe, paint didnt adhere to the metal



cleaned the heads up, matched, valve seals, and a little casting clean, along with new springs


ARP'd out the 6.0l



milled the lifter valley cover flat so it didnt look so crappy


cleaned and painted the oil pan, glass bead the motor mounts


Shortened up the dip stick




made my throwout bearing -3an and extended the bleeder


as she sits




other than the paint lifting i did all of that yesterday/last night. i used my strike of motivation

sorry i havent been at a computer lately, generally dealing with iphones for interenet.

yes its removable as stated. its kinda hidden, pretty fun part to make

     At least you got some time to work on your truck.
     My honey do list just keeps getting bigger.  Gotta say though, wife is gone all next week for work, wife gone = any extra time I get not at work will be on truck.

     Those spark plug wires will be fun to change.

 finished assembling my accessories, also made my steam port cross over for the heads and fit it to the waterpump

Finished up my fuel rails and injectors, wired them up and hid the wires


Finished my power steering feed line


And then since my tensioner isn't going to work, I purchased a new one


Paxton Novi 2000, a little bigger than I wanted but the price was right, should be pulling it off his corvette in a week or two

     Actually after seeing put together, it makes more sense now.  That truck is going to be a work of art when you are done.
