Rear window metal work
« on: July 12, 2019, 01:05:37 PM »
My name is Robert and I reside in southern California.I'm the owner of a 1973 C10 long bed,350 motor with a 350 turbo trans.so I've been buying new parts for my truck little by little.so the latest part I purchased is the rear window seal.i started to remove the old seal and of course I found rust, some areas are worse then other areas.there are more then a few spots where the metal is really soft, soft enough to push a screwdriver through.
My question is there a panel I can buy to replace those rotted-out sections or is there some kind of procedure to repair the damaged area.the sections that will need repairs I believe it's called a pinch weld,it's the bottom section of the rear window opening.any help with my problem will be very much appreciated.
   Thank you fellow squarely truckers
