TBI upgrades?
« on: June 03, 2009, 11:24:43 PM »
Hey guys, I did a search and didn't come up with exactly what I was looking for, so heres my question, I'm looking for mods for a TBI 350 that don't involve changing the computer. I already did the exhaust, but thats all that is done.

Thanks,

You could install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Holley makes a nice replacement throttle body too.

Holley TBI WILL require a chip, it flows much more than a stock TBI.

Just looking at options and what is out there. Just want some more jam not looking for huge numbers. It's in an 87 blazer with 33's. Basically wondering what I can do without a chip that wont cost an arm and a leg.

You can try an injector spacer or just stacked gaskets, The orange top police package injectors you can sometimes find in the junkyard work well with an AFPR, Thottle body spacer responded well on mine.  You can dremel the ridges down on the top face of the throttle body and shave down the butterflies to let more air in.  Most of these work well with other mods that have already been installed.  Try doing a search for Ultimate TBI mods.
