almost sounds like they could be the 10s. the single chambers.

there are alot of clips on youtube with a bunch of different flowmaster mufflers on the same engines so u can listen to them and pick out which ones you like

In part 1 at about 3:02 you can catch a glimpse of the mufflers...I think they are 40s but can't quite tell

The tailpipes don't even look 2 1/2 if I had to guess.  Sounds good...maybe a bit loud for us city folks.

The mufflers are no dought to long to be super 10's, the single chambers. They could be 40, super 40s, or super 44s, based on size. My super 44s sound similar when you get on the throttle pretty good.

I love the sound of my Hooker Aero Chambers on my '77 K20 with the 350.

Erik, any chance you could post a soundbite.  I've run Edelbrock muffs (NLA - went the way of IAS shocks) for years and been quite satisfied, but always wondered about the Hooker Aero Chambers.

What is everybody's opinion on which muffler to get in a true dual 2.25in pipe setup?? I think the mufflers in the video  are original 40s because super 44s come black painted??

I'm running Summit long tube headers, Hooker mandrel bent 2.25" dual pipes and a pair of Thrush Turbos, It's not quite as louder as the one in the video, but still has a nice throaty sound

The black coating is just a rust preventative, as far as I know, they all come with it now.

I will try to remember and make a couple of sound clips this weekend.

Here is a clip of my 1977 K20 Silverado with a 350 CID Engine, TH350 Transmission, 4.10:1 14-bolt FF, running 2.25" Dual Exhaust without any crossover and Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers.  I am not sure that the sound came through too well with the windows rolled-down and my camera-phone mic, but here you go!

Thanks!  Sounds healthy, but not excessive.  Does it resonate at a particular RPM?

Ok I know I said I would if you guys wanted it but shortly after that I decided that I wanted to and that it would be fun. It was fun haha. So here it is.

Truck has a 350 bored 40 over, aluminum heads, roller cam, dual plane intake with 670 big block TBI fuel injection, Hedman full length 4x4 headers, Flowmaster Super 44s, the whole exhaust is 2.5 inch and the pipes are aluminized, true duals with no cross over, the ends of the pipes are cut parallel to the ground and the section from header collector to just after the back wall of the cab is wrapped in 2 inch exhaust header wrap and secured with stainless steel zip ties (1 at the front and 1 at the back, only 2 ties per pipe).

The 4x4 headers keep the exhaust tucked up between the frame rails, keeping the underneath clean and retaining all of the stock road clearnace. From the side of the truck, none of the exhaust is visible. Having the pipes wrapped under the cab keeps the heat down on the floor and it works great. I hope you all like the video. There are other interesting features in the video that you may see that are not the focus of the video.

I apologize for the breathing sounds while under the truck, I was trying to video and not fall over at the same time. Also, the truck sounds good when driving normal, under heavy accel it makes all kinds of pretty noise, as you will hear, but while cruising down the road, say 55-60 mph, windows up or down, radio off, you can barely hear it, radio on, it's quiet as a mouse. So it doesn't get annoying because all you here is exhaust. it let's me enjoy the ride and not make my ears bleed.
