1976 Scottsdale K10 Step-side

So far, I've...
  • Rebuilt hubs
  • Removed the bed
  • Removed the fuel tank
  • Replaced Rear Leaf Spring Front Hangers with new
  • New Rear Shackles
  • New Rear Poly Bushings
  • New Rear Shocks

I plan to...
  • Sandblast the frame
  • Install new fuel tank to driver side (original tank on the passenger side)
  • Swap the cab out with a rust free '86 cab I have
  • Build one good bed out of the original and a donor I have
  • New Brake and fuel lines
  • LS Swap? Unsure still yet...
  • New Wiring Harness
  • New Dakota Digital RTX Guages
  • Find a single 3" or larger tube (classic style) roll bar to install

Photos:
First photo is of my first truck (1976 C10 Step-side) with me by my mom.
Second through fourth photos are my new '76 K10 Step-side fueling up after buying it. I drove it home via the interstate! It was a rough but fun ride...
Fifth photo is a few years back pulling a stump out of my yard...

These photos are of the "NEW" cab I scored for $200 from a guy who was parting out his '86!

The first few photos are of my cab score! Very clean and minimal surface rust on it!
The next few are after I rebuilt the hubs, installed longer bolts for newer wheels (shown) and my window dropped... Had a bag to protect the interior while I was unable to work on it.

These are more shots of the truck as well as a few floor repairs! The reason I went on the hunt for a new cab!

A few more recent shots. I wrapped up the rear about 2 to 3 weeks ago (mid-June 2018) before it got crazy hot. My garage is basically an oven so on hot days I cannot stand to do too much without nearly falling over with heat stroke... lol

Not sure if I want to keep the short mufflers right behind my cab or bring them on out...

Job looks great!

With the bed off, now is a good time to fabricate supplemental supports for the rear shock absorber upper mounts.  The upper rear frame mounts have a tendency to tin can and crack out the frame rails because there is no outer support for the shock pins.

Do you have any pics of this being done? I'm afraid I am not sure of what you are talking about.
