I was thinking of making my own lights. I like the look of the caddilac tails loudnlow did.... I've scoured the internet looking for anything but I only found one truck with totally custom tails and they weren't completed  :-\ All ideas are welcomed...

What about some '67 Camaro RS tail lights with bezels in the roll pan?  Nice and rectangular, should match the body nicely.  Personally I would save all the LED stuff for the late models.

I was looking to do the same thing but ran into trouble trying to find back-up lights that would pass Maryland inspection.  So I gave up and going back to the stock look.

How bout the long skinny caddy taillight then french a 3rd brake light across the top of the tailgate like the caddilac where you don't see it til it lights up. or the other truck I have has the ZR-1 taillights in the rollpan they don't look to bad either.

Every state is different. In CT we have no inspections, only for salvage titles and vin verifications. Not sure what the deal is in Maryland

That is true....but then my son is restricted in how much he could drive it.  Think about it - a 17 year old, driving a full size LOUD pickup - he will be police fodder.  I don't want to give the Frederick police anything more to harass him over.

My tail light fillers, roll pan and lights showed up today. I decided to go with some custom cadillac tail lights and ordered them too. That'll keep me busy for a little while.  ;D

Vile if you want posts removed from this thread, let me know.  If you start the custom light setup, can you start a new project post?

That's ok you can keep the posts~ For the lights I will start another thread if you all would like. Tomorrow is the day I decide exactly what I am gonna do. Saturday I plan on installing the roll pan and filling in the stake pockets on the bed.

You can leave it all here if you want to, just saying you can put up a new project on custom lights if you want...  I was just going to link to this from the technical pages for a LWB-SWB conversion thread.
