Only guessing, but the two plugs may be fast idle solenoid and A/C. Not sure about the ring.

what is the application? Lockup switch and Starter power wire?
Who's is this and where is it coming from?

Based on the location, size, and color, it looks like the feed to the A/C blower relay, but it should have a Packard Series 56 connector instead of a ring.

Looking at the red and purple starter wires laying on the framerail and running toward the battery instead of toward the firewall; wondering whether the green and red wires being held for display are freshly taped; seeing the battery cable laying loose on top of the framerail instead of securely anchored to the framerail with an Adele clamp (which is catastrophe waiting for opportunity), imply the wiring maybe a work in process. The ring terminated red wire could be the B+ feed from the starter to the firewall junction block. The green pair maybe A/C and idle solenoid, or converter lockup, as previously suggested. Post the year/model information, a description of the situation and what the owner is trying to accomplish, and maybe some pics that provide a better overall for fewer guesses.

found out its a 86 k something that had a 305 now has a 350.

that was a typo last night also should of been "what do these wires do". i can see the b+ red wire going to the starter, the other ones i was thinking ac. but i was thinking the ac plugs are round

If the wires entering those two connectors are light green and light blue, they are for the lockup converter circuit on an MD8 (according to the 1986 Wiring Manual (http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/techinfo/7387CKMans//Wiring/ST_352_86_1986_Chevrolet_GMC_Light_Truc_Wiring_Manual_CK_10_30_Only.pdf#page=15), page 15). If that's true and the red wire is bundled in the same taped loom with the green & blue wires, then the red wire probably connects to the firewall junction block. Is the charging system working?
Does the owner have a problem with his truck or _________?

Hello everyone sorry for the delay OK the truck is a 86 k10 was a 305 truck now has a 350 trans is a A-883 3speed overdrive stick shift it has ac non cruise truck these wires come out of fire wall directly to the left of the HVAC box it's not a starter wire almost certain will not reach truck runs and drives fine I drive everyday but who ever touch the wire harness was a hack and im just tying to get it back to how it's supposed to

They come out directly to the right of the HVAC not the left sorry about that

Left and right are always from the driver's perspective - left is driver side, right is passenger side. Does the HVAC blower work on high? What are the wire colors in the two plugs (some of the wires are obstructed in the posted image)?

No the blower does not work on high it does however work on the first three and the exit just to the driver side of the HVAC box

With that in mind, the 10-gauge red wire with the ring terminal end is probably the B+ feed to the high blower relay. If you have a DVOM check for B+ on the red wire at the blower relay. If it's dead, jumper the ring terminal to the firewall junction block and recheck for voltage on the red wire in the blower relay connector. If the red wire proves to be the relay feed, then the green wires feed the A/C low pressure cycling switch and idle solenoid.

Sweet I will check when I get home OK so now I have a few more electrical problems 1 on the wire harness what color wires feed what gauge ......None of my gauges work and would like to keep all factory gauges 2 my fuel gauge didn't work when I got the truck fuel gauge didn't work I pulled bed off well the pink wire on sender was unplugged I plugged it in and fuel gauge worked perfect well I went to put gas in it after that tank was empty and when I got back in gauge was on empty I tried a different gauge and same prob idk what is going on with it

If none of the gauges work, begin by checking the fuses. If the fuse is good, unplug the tank sending unit. Does the gauge swing past Full to ~3:00 o'clock?

Someone cut the wires outta the truvk so I have about 6 inches of wire by the firewall

No the pink wire is there but all the others for the gauges are temp oil press and im guessing the volt gauge are all cuti have no gauges

Voltmeter connections are all internal to the cab, behind the instrument cluster. Engine coolant temp wiring is dark green, engine oil pressure is brown. Have you looked at the factory wiring manual I linked or had a chance to try any of the suggestions for the fuel gauge?
