Retractable Rear Cab Window, vs Sliding window, 84 C20

(1/3) > >>

srodster:
Anyone ever try to adapt an electric retractable rear window that is on today's Toyota truck, or that are on a Chevy Blazer, and make it fit in a regular '84 cab rear window?  I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting more wind through my hair......

Hope someone has some suggestions, I would like to try.

I think the best way to do it would be to graft the back of the toy cab into the chevy cab.  years ago there was a company that did power window for trucks but I think they were sliders, I don't know if they made them go up and down.

just found this...

There are those out there that are custom making them, but no kits that I have found yet.  Here is a link and pic of what one person did to make his custom rear retractable window, hope you like to do a lot of custom fab work.

Here is C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. website which has a power slider kit for our trucks, it is like our slider but power, not up and down.

Wow, great.  Looks of good info.  Wish I was closer to Mexico to find one OEM...
Anyone know who much different the current Toyota setup is, from an '84 C20?

Pimp My Ride did a rear power window on a S10.

Might look at some limousine partition kits. (You know the window behind the chauffeur.)
