I saw that.   Dang that opened my eyes a lot about BS ways I was doing it to save time.  Thats scary.  I'm gonna be buying some new equipment.

Yeah, i always thought shank and ball would be the ideal way to tow someone out.  NOPE.   

i guess what we can take away from the video is that a ball may be rated at say, 5000 lbs.    But what it really means is it can handle a 5000 lb trailer with normal resistance----on pavement, not buried in 12" mud.
