Tire size for 15x7 rim on 73 c10?
« on: August 03, 2002, 09:19:00 PM »
I just ordered some new 15x7 rally wheels (new style chevy) for my 73 c10 Cheyenne.  What is the largest tire size width wise that I can put on without rubbing and without being too big for the wheel?
Thanks.

never cared for what they say, never cared for games they play, never cared for what they do, never cared for what they know, and I know...nothing else matters

with the 15x7 wheels you won't get enough tire on it to worry about tire scrub. If you want a short tire try a 245-60. It squats nice on that rim but leaves the fenderwell extremely open(you could put your head between the tire and fenderwell) The tire I've seen that works real well on that rim is a 255-70. it's about 28 to 29 inches tall and sits pretty good and square on the rim without needing to screw around with air pressures. You didn't say whether your truck is going to be dropped or not but either of these will do fine.

you should have found you a set of 15*8 s  they look better and go with abiggger tire to   or put 6s on front with 2057515  and 8.5 rallyes on rear with 2756015  or 2955015
