Post by: jay6776 on February 28, 2009, 09:43:17 PM: Well got it painted to night. Turned out pretty good. Will need a good wet sand and buff job but i like the color. Tommrow will be doing the hood and all the other parts.

wanted to spray inside fenders and cowl all at the same time, Na every time I have done a dark blue like that have not had a prob(watch this be the first time lol) I just make sure my gun is set up the same all the time. and air pressure

The color I used was from a 94 Porsche i think its called nighthawk blue or something.. Pretty much looks the same as Midnight Blue Metallic little bit more darker allmost looks black in some angles

I even had "chrome" pinstripes on my '90 Suburban, along with aluminum running boards. It looked great.

But I like it. Man I forgot how much of a pain it is wet sanding and buffing these trucks. but its turning out pretty nice.

I also enjoyed the article on your website about the Lincoln you painted. It's unreal that somebody let that car sit in a weed field for so long!

i think its lc3 but i will check tommrow for ya. That color looks good on the angles but it is a little to dark for me. But i'll get use to it

yeah i saw that one to. Pretty much looks the same but different in light. There both pretty cool colors.. The WRX blue looks to blue lol to me

Post by: jay6776 on March 13, 2009, 11:51:28 PM: Well got a little bit more done today. Got all the int parts from the other truck put in and the seat dash pad. Looks pretty good I have to do something with the door panels they look wore out. But thats going to have to wait.

That i took out my middle AC vent and made it into a holder for ???? what ever since I don't have AC.. Did not want to use the screws but all the tabs were broke. So o well they really stand out in the pics. But not that bad in the truck

And than i mounted my tack in the dash.. Turned out pretty good

Found a set of old school slot rims that I'm tradeing for the wheels off the parts truck. ( that turned out to be a pretty good deal)

o and got all the glass in can not wait till i'm done
