My new build thread. 1977 C10 shotry
« on: April 08, 2014, 02:15:51 AM »
I went and got my truck yesterday. A 1977 C10 short box Heavy half. All I've done so far is get rid of the tires I got with it and put on stock wheels and tires. Priority 1 is to get it running so I can drive it while I hunt for parts.
I would love to post pics, but the site won't let me. :(
you can see pics here. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=624182

Probably showing my age here, but you need to go out and bless the truck or do something before you start your build.  That was one heck of a journey to get her home.

Have you seen this post on how to upload pic to forum in the tech section.  The other way is to use photo bucket or similar site to upload pics using the "insert hyperlink" (bottom row, second button from left, looks like the world with a piece of paper).

Can't be Christine, I've already owned that truck and she is now the ash tray of a several Hondas somewhere.

Added some more pics here>>> http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=624182
I don't know how to adjust my camera to reduce the size of the pics and this site has far to strict limits on pic size.

I think the cruse control is going away. I never really liked cruse anyway.

There is a thread in the tech section on how to resize your pics, I use Faststone Image Viewer, it is easy and free and comes with a resizer.  I then just upload everything to my photo bucket account and use the "insert image" button above to move pics here.

Unless you just want some seriously large pictures the limits of the forum are not severely restrictive.

I don't really need huge pics. it's just that I don't have a photobucket account and I can't figure out how to reset my camera. lol I do know I can post these same pics here with no problem. >>>> http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=624182

You should give faststone a try, I was having problems posting pics because I use my I-pad to take pics and it is very restrictive, faststone is so easy to resize and I have never had a problem yet.

I do not want to throw too big of a monkey wrench in here, but in this picture

The rake of the cab to the bed seems off to me.  Could be several different things, but the cab and bed seem to slope in opposite directions to me, is it just the pic ?

lol. I had to go look. Thanks for scaring the crap out of me BTW. It's just the pic. The rear of the bed is a good 2 inches above the front.
