Title: Electric Metering Rods Carb Question
Post by: Harmon on June 01, 2019, 07:58:47 PM
1986 Chevrolet C 10 350 Engine

I am wondering where the electric connection that hooks up at front Passenger side of Carburator goes too.  I am eliminating smog pump/various vacuum lines not needed and am wondering if the electronic metering rods need vacuum, or if that electrical connection mentioned above snakes back behind the engine and connects to a switch that has vacuum to it?

Thanks for any insight.

First, are you sure you have electronic metering rods?

i guess the other question i should ask is, are you in California?

Could you take a picture of it, because i think you may have a dual capacity accelerator pump instead of the electro-metering rods, but we'll see what we'll see....
