a little note the 88-98 style bench seats will be about 6" shorter (3" on each side) than our bench seats

Look for a 91 Suburban bench seat.  The only drawback is it is a fixed back.  It is firm and isn't the typical trampoline seat.  Very comfortable...

Ask yourself this, is your butt worth it? If so, buy a nice seat. It makes driving your truck 100x more enjoyable. If you work hard, you deserve it.

This is my favorite aftermarket seat I have

This is my second favorite one, they are super comfortable, not trampolines, give you more room, fit perfect. Can't beat it

They are pricey but worth it. I also see them on Craigslist used from time to time if you're on a budget.

I installed a 60/40 split bench in my 83. I fabbed a frame using the existing sliders. Couldn't be happier. Picked up the seats for $50 from a 95 being parted out.

That 60/40 is nice, what did you pull it out of? How is the fit side to side?

Fit is great, almost the same as the factory bench. These came out of a 95 Chevy extended cab
