Title: MGT Special??

Looking at a 79 C-10.  It has some really goofy period correct brown/orange/tan decal stripes on it...kind of like a late 70's early 80's shag van....with MGT Special in decals below the 90 degree down turned stripes

I've downloaded a few 79 brochures but have not seen any factory designation for this.

Any clue??

I got nothin but that looks like a clean specimen!

Is he the original owner?

After they finished building the new Caldor across the street from the dealer, they had some left over graphic material. The sales manager decided to create the managers special to meet his sales quota and voila, the MGT Special was born.

I looked around online too and got nothing. My guess is it was made by the dealer using a local graphic shop.
I actually love seeing these unique trucks pop up. Probably only a handful ever made with those graphics and this is likely the last one remaining. Not any more valuable, but really cool.
