Title: rear mud flaps
Post by: 84GMCSierra on February 11, 2023, 07:39:40 AM
Does anyone have rear mud flaps on their truck? I'm looking for the exact dimensions, pictures, and mounting details if possible please. I'm going to make some form old belt material with a metal frame, or have some made out of metal. I have 2 bolts on the bottom of the rear wheel well, but it looks like they have to be a certain shape to fit flat. My truck is an 84 Sierra long bed. Thanks for any and all help.

Made this plate for the rear wheelwells. Fastens to the two bolts @ rear of wheel tub and two holes inside the rear of the bedside. Use 1/8 stainless and you can add extra holes to attach your prefered flap material at the bottom. Probably live decades after the rest of the truck disolves.

Emboss a couple of ribs and those look just like the factory ones!  :)

That looks great. Thanks. I’ll start with a cardboard template then trace it to metal

The rear fender extensions look like this (not mud flaps)
