Good Cab???
« on: January 06, 2003, 06:01:00 PM »
I have a 86 gmc cab, c10,auto, the interior is pretty good, its solid except for the cab corners need replaceing, the doors and rockers are pretty solid. I would like to sell it on the frame....no bed or front fenders, good 305, blown th350 tranny, great hood, busted grill, and dual headlights.
How much should i ask for this truck??
(I live in CT)

I maybe interested in your cab,(if you still have it)?
Please email me at starg99581@aol.com, if you want, and we can talk about it.

Yea, i still got it. Im not advertising it yet, but ill sell it anytime. I can part it out, id like to sell the cab whole though. Get back to me on what you would want( the whole truck, just the cab, or other parts) and ill see what i can sell, cuz my dad may want some parts still.

I would like just the cab it's self.
In my 79 GMC, that I want to rebuild, the cab is in pretty good shape, except for the windshield area.
The whole area where the windshield sits, is rotted away, and nobody makes any kind of repair patches (that I know of) for that area.

So, the cab I am looking for, has to be in good condition around the wind shield area.
I am going to cut out the sections that I want and weld them into my cab.
In otherwords, make my own patches.

Does your cab still have the windshield in it?
Can you tell if the surrounding sheet metal in good condition?

Thanks,
John

Around the winshield its perfect, paint no rust, its just the cab corners are bad, a few pin holes in the rockers, i think the floors are good(they look fine from underneath). It has a good winshield in it. I think i said it was a C10, so ya know its a 2WD cab. Its pretty solid, unlike my 85 when i got it.
