'77 K20 speedo adapter
« on: February 09, 2016, 02:34:26 PM »
Hi Guys,
My speedo cable adapter at my T-case is leaking pretty badly. Does anyone offer a rebuild kit for these? I think it would just be the O ring and small gasket. Or does anyone know of a good source for a new one?
Thanks, Greg

It's not the little gearbox.  Those aren't super sealed.  The o-ring in the driven gear adapter in the tailshaft housing is leaking.  Probably the transfer case vent is a little gummed up too.

You were right hatzie,  8) thanks. The inner o-ring was bad. Replaced today and cleaned the breather while I was at it.
