How much reducer to use?
« on: April 03, 2006, 11:09:00 PM »
I'm ready to paint my 85 Silverado. I am using PPG delstar acrylic enamel and hardener. The instructions tell how much hardener to use but there is nothing about the reducer. I am gonna be using one of those disposable aerosol spray guns. thanks

I am not a PPG fan or user but somewhere it will say on the can how much reducer to use or it will say ready to spray but I dought it as I have only seen that on some primers and or sealers. Years ago I worked for a guy that used PPg and if I remember correctly it was 1 to 1 but I don't remeber what line it was just that he used allot of single stage. If not call the paint counter at the parts store where you bought it, they will know.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Where did you purchase your material from?Go back to the paint store and ask them how much reducer to use.More than likely its a 2:1:1 mix but dont quote me on it.

thanks
