77 k20 carrier bearing mounting ???

Hello

I'm building a 77 K20 frame up so I can swap my body over this summer. Today I picked up the trans (sm465), transfer case (np205), and driveshafts from a 79. The rear is a 2 piece shaft but I don't see a place to mount the carrier bearing on the frame. Does anyone have a picture of where it goes, Please.

Are you sure your two piece driveshaft came from the 4x4 powertrain? There is a bracket that is used to secure the carrier bearing to the frame cross member.

As far as I know. I got the transmission, transfer case, and shafts all from the same guy. He said they all came from the same truck which was a 79. I know on 81-87 frames there's a cross member that has the rear cab mounts and holds the carrier bearing. But I was wondering if there was some bolt in piece used on 73-80 frames. Did GM just not use 2 piece shafts on the 73-80 frames? Or maybe just not on 4x4 trucks? Worst case I'll just have to fine another 1 piece rear shaft.

Yes there is a bracket that attaches to the crossmember and 73-80 also used 2 piece driveshafts.
