New toy. What should I do with it?? Help me out!!!
« on: June 07, 2021, 09:30:22 PM »
I got this 86 for a shop truck build, Its pretty solid and could not pass it up. I did not need or want it, but could not pass it up.LOL. I want to do a video of a DETAILED frame chop from long to short bed. Many videos of what people do are out there, but they skip so much. So may do that for the channel. gonna start of with a 99 l29 454 with a 700r4, blow it up and rebuild with Upgraded parts. then go LS or LT with a LSA and 6l80e. Going to experiment with this truck. What do you want to see.

I have a complete short bed step side just waiting for the cut of this truck LOL.

yeah I think some of the chop down videos are lacking on purpose.  But create a build post and give video and pic progress.

i would never shorten a truck, but if i did i think i would want to move the axle forward and cut the frame at the rear, rather than to do a frame splice.   i know there are disadvantages to moving the axle, but that's my preference.
