Long Bed to Short Bed Pics
« on: June 19, 2023, 04:28:28 PM »
A few of y'all have asked to see some pics.

Thanks

'73 Chevy C10, 350, TH350, was a long Fleetside, now she's a short Stepper that's under construction (been in the Family since 1972).

I would weld up all around that bolted plate and weld in where the bolts are. The bolts may get in the way of hanging tanks or other things. It would also look better.

Aren't the bolts "temporary"?  If not, I'd be getting some of those industrial rivets, and welding those too... :o

We did weld everywhere the plate came in contact to the frame (just didn't have that photo).

Yes, the bolts are permanent.

I did paint the area we worked on to prevent rust - really not too concerned about how it looks, once the bed is on, who will see it?

Not going for a show Truck - just a good ol Classic weekend cruiser   :)

Thank y'all

I've been wanting to do this for the past 10 - 12 years   :)
