I have a 1984 C10 Suburban.  The rear driver's side door glass is cracked.  I recently bought a replacement from a salvage yard.  It was already pulled when I got there.  Now I'm ready to replace glass but I cannot find any information on the proper way to remove / install the glass.  I've replaced door glass before, just not on a C10.

Power or manual? Remove the door panel, unbolt the guide channel, unbolt the regulator to allow it to disengage from the glass sash. Rotate and lift out. It is sometimes better to remove the rubber/felt from the door as well. Some masking tape is a good idea so you don't scratch anything.

Thanks for the info.
It's power window.  I've had to replace one of the front window power motors.  I've not taken the rear door panel off yet.  I was just observing it and it looked like I might have to remove the quarter glass to get the window out, but I'm hoping not.

yes you will need to remove the quarter glass to get the main one out.  It is not that difficult

Thanks for the response.  I don't suppose there's any tips / tricks to getting the quarter glass out and reinstalling it?

Did you look on the manual page in the Tech section?  http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=30115.0

Specifically: http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/techinfo/7387CKMans//Service/X8432_1984_GMC_Light_Duty_Trucks_Service_Manual.pdf#page=1679

Nope.  Hadn't found that manual.  Thanks for the link.

:) :)  Thankfully I got it done!   With the help of your comment from April 5th and this thread from the other forum I got it done in late May.  https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=743445
