New brake shoe is coming off of anchor pin
« on: February 08, 2023, 10:20:06 AM »
I just replaced the drums, brake shoes, wheel cylinders and springs on my 1980 Chevy K10 and the front shoe moves more than the rear and is coming off the anchor pin when engaged.  There is also a loud grinding noise when driving down the road.  Attached is a picture after the brakes are engaged.  Front and back brakes were bled. Thanks in advance!

They aren't meant to be actuated with the drum off. Your pic is pretty bad so it's hard to see if you have anything wrong.
