DASH BEZEL
« on: October 23, 2006, 06:29:00 PM »
I have a really nice condition dash bezel from my 76 C10, except for the reflective finish inside the gauge openings. Replacements are $160, so I want to keep mine, anyone know of a product that can duplicate that original look instead of just spraying chrome or silver paint on it?

I bought a paint stick called UNI Paint Marker PX-21 by Faber Castel from a local hobby store and after carefully masking the gauge bevel I could paint the edges with the stick. I let the paint dry for a day before taking off the masking tape. The working edge of the paint stick was almost too wide and I had to go slow and make sure  there was no bleeding from the bevel edge. Turned out pretty good tho.
