"shaving" lower control arms
« on: April 10, 2008, 03:39:59 PM »
How much will I have to grind off my lower arms to use my 2.5" drop spindles with my stock 15x8 rally wheels?  I'm thinking twice about making the swap if its going to be a lot.   :-\

Who makes the spindles?  Generally 3" requires the grinding of the LCA.  Most require clearancing of the brake caliper.
It isn't much though if you do have to grind them.

Plus it depends on your wheel backspacing. With mine, I used a spacer and ground the control arm just around the lower ball joint area.
