The current hole is 2.0625" so those will fit. If I make it smaller I was planning on going down to 2.045", but can make it an even 2.000"
I also have been looking at this for attachment.

The plastic push-in rivets may not provide a solid enough mount for trucks that spend time off-road. A #6 trim screw requires a smaller hole and I think is a good choice if not overtightened. Perhaps mounting hole locations should be dimpled for drilling at the installer's option rather than being pre-drilled.

Well, I'm at the point of a neatly tailored harness hanging out of my dash waiting for three pillar mounted gauges, so I can trim and terminate the wiring to finish it off. Any word? No pressure - LOL.

As of this weekend this is the Triples mounted in the truck. There are 2 injection points on the part that serve really well for a screw location, I also opted to put the 3rd screw at the top inside edge. These are #8 Trim screws. I am looking for source bulk in the correct length, but for now I just trimmed them to fit. I highly recommend using screws to secure these. I made them to fit all models but it was a compromise for the 73-80 style as it has slightly more tension on it, these will require screws.
Pictures is the pod mounted on a 81-87 a-pillar. This coming weekend it will be painted Red to match the interior color change of my truck and I plan to texture it also. Right now we are working out the minimum order and pricing, once that is out of the way it should be a matter of weeks before they are available.
As always feedback is welcomed.
This is almost all of the iterations of these (missing at least 2)

They look
great!
Perfect angles for viewing! Can you image the windshield side of the pods?

I didn't quite grasp your meaning. Will the finished product have a stippled texture to match the OE trim, or will it be up to the installer to texture it?

Due to the flat surface of the part there is no way to add a texture to it without it turning into a mess, so it will come as pictured. Unfortunately there is no way around this.

What product/method do you plan to use for texture?

Texturing is an art unless it is built into the technology of the paint. I teach texturing to painters for medical equipment mainly but anyone that desires adding a texture to their product. There are also texture additives that go right into paint.

I'm all ears.... If I may be so bold, what's the technique to duplicating factory trim?
