Would worn rear leaf springs cause the front drive shaft to rub on the crossmember?

Ive recently replaced all ujoints and carrier bearing and noticed the front driveshaft slightly rubs the crossmember. Could that be due to worn rear leaf springs and the 2" block being removed from the rear as well? Planning on getting nee springs and reinstalling the blocks and wondering if that would fix the problem with the front shaft

check your trans mount

Trans and/or engine mounts. If the mount looks good, it is possible they used the wrong mount/crossmember for the transmission.

I'll be sure to check those when I climb back under it to try to fix my tranny leak. Hopefully its just loose bolts where it bolts to transfer case again. Then again , that could be my problem all together couldnt it?

Man.... Im about to give up. This thing needs a complete teardown and rebuild. Lol. Should've sold it when i had the chance.
Tranny mount is bad too.

we've all been there. its something to take a step back and say "ive rebuilt this thing"

Well if it's not enjoyable and becomes chore take a break if u can.
It will be worth it in the end.

My truck turned into a two year restore. Well worth it I think, parts that would have been replaced are replaced, so at the very least it should give many trouble free miles

Checking on prices for the mounts I need. Of course the ones i need are $60. The others are only $10 a piece. These old ones are falling apart and soft enough to wash a new born.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170205/f7d68fde1ab72e3099d5bcdad132669e.jpg)
Big piece of one of them in center.

You probably know already, but the effects of a new rubber mount will be fleeting if the oil leak isn't corrected.
-
Yeah. With all the mud caked on it i was losing extreme amounts of tranny fluid and could never find the leak. But its been taken care of. I had some loose bolts. And when I parked it 7 years ago i was having trouble from a mud dobber nesting in the pressure release on top of the transmission

Yep. That's the main reason I ran all four driveline breathers to the air cleaner on my 76. They need to chew through the air filter to build nests in the breathers now.

i use these things on all the breathers. theyre like $1

Centering yoke or CV joint on front driveshaft was worn. Replaced it and now the seal on the front output shaft us leaking on the transfer case. So is the seal on the front differential. Fix one leak and fund another($$$)
