Down-pipes
« on: September 12, 2007, 08:52:15 AM »
Hi guys- I've got a 7.4 in my '78 truck. Are all V8 downpipes (from manifold) the same diameter?

I'm having to home build due to any thing this side of the pond is too dear!! I can get 2metre lengths of 3" diameter for £12-00 thats about $25-00 per length. Hope i'm not being ripped off!!

Any help?

$25 for 2 meters sounds fine.

Not sure about big block down pipe size, but they were definitely larger than the factory 2" pipes on my truck (originally 305).

Thanks   :)

looks like I'll have to take a sample and match it up! Deffo got to have a rumble noise rather than a pea-shooter!
