This is my project after about 8 months.

And that's where I'm at now.I gotta assemble the motor (283) and install the front clip.Hopefully, she'll start right up after grafting the 87 colunm and fusebox with the 76 wiring.

That's what I call a paint job. That looks really nice.  I love the color too.  It is kinda bold, but that shade of yellow is awesome, I had my old 68 mustang painted a similar shade.  It was 1970 ford yellow that they put on the famous 70 boss 302's.....highlighted w/ a black stripe on the rockers....it's hot. I had black interior on it.   I loved that ole car.

Nice job!!

Good eye Sgt Del.I was looking at a book with photos and tried to match the paint chip with the 1970 Boss 302.Its actually a bit darker than the photos because of the flash.

The whole box has been changed. It has dual gas tank doors,so I could add a tank easily if I wanted to.Only 6 bolt holes line up.I may have to drill the other 2.

Thanks Pugsy, i know that shade of yellow when i see it....1970 Boss 302 Grabber Yellow

The most beautiful Mustang ever built.  I have dreamed of this car since I was 14.

Now the following car, a 68 mustang coupe, was my very first car.....Love those colors....this thing used to be an ugly blue when i got it when i was 15.  I learned body work, engine building, upholstery work and painting on this car as a teenager.

Hey 123

Could you tell me where you got your bed??

My bed is a goner for sure and I just cannot find a decent used bed so I'll most likely end up building one from scratch like you. The best deal I have found yet is the Classic Industries bed kit for $995 plus the inevitable $$$ shipping!! It just really hurts that I have to pay twice as much for a bed than I paid for my whole truck!!

Mine: 1977 LWB passenger side fuel door, round hole or square door, doesn't matter as I'll take either one at this point!!

Any advice greatly appreciated.

They are hard to find without rust.  Of course you can patch them.  If you live near Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, S. California, they aren't hard to find without rust.  New Yowk, Jowsey, Mass. NH, VT, ME, Great Lake states, etc.....good luck.
