76 k10 wiper issues
« on: January 20, 2019, 07:29:30 PM »
I got my truck with no working wipers because there was no switch. I got my hands on a NOS switch and installed tonight...wipers worked off the bat, but was making a lot of noise at the lower part of the windsheild.  All the sudden wipers quit right in the middle of the windsheild. Seems like a fuse to me but fuse looks great, and I dont have a new 25 amp fuse to test with.  Could my wiper motor have just went out? Any way to test without having a spare fuse on me? Its snowing and I gotta work in the morning, appreciate any insight. Thanks all

The noise just below the windshield points to the linkage between the motor and the arms.
It could also be the motor.  You'll need to take a looksee.
Rain-X is a wonderful thing on older vehicles.
