I just joined the board today, I've been watching for a while.  I've got a  76 k10, swb.  Has anyone switched a current model rear with disc brakes into one of the older trucks?  just curious how much of a job it is.  Local salvage yard has one available, with posi, out of a 2003.

Haven't done it , but it would just be a matter of making sure the saddles are in the right position/angle or moving them. and I would check the width.  I do know the "posi" used in the 80-up are Gov-locs.  Also known as grenade locks. Chris Lucas
