Anyone done retro roller conversion from tappets?
« on: April 20, 2023, 02:44:49 PM »

Pulled the tired SBC 350 on my 84, and now need to make a decision.

1) Stick with flat tappet
2) Do a retro roller conversion
3) Buy a later model block built for roller
4) LS swap

Leaning twords doing a roller conversion. Strangely theres not much talk about them which I find odd with everyone wiping cams.

Anyone done it?

Yes but I also find it easier to find a roller block. All of the later model 350's are a good choice. The vortec 350 is your best option, you just won't have the mechanical fuel pump option.
