Title: putting a turbo 350 in saread of a 4 speed
Post by: sandmechnaicyahoocom on October 28, 2002, 08:16:00 AM
I am looking at removing the granny 4 speed from my 74 k20 and putting in a turbo 350, i already have one with the 4 wheel drive shaft and adapter, but I read that the 205 t-case has different splines depending on the application, I was wondering if any one has tried this yet and how it worked, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks RJ

The SM465 has a 10 spline output shaft and the TH350 has a 27 spline output shaft.  You need to get a different t-case.  If you can get one from behind another TH350 it will of course hook up, but also be on the lookout for a t-case from a 700R4 because they had the same output shaft as the TH350.

Also aren't the output shafts different between 2WD and 4WD?
