DOES ANYONE RACE THERE TRUCK ON HERE ? ???
-
I try to here and there. You?
-
A few years ago, I attended a drivers' meeting for a local track. I was trying to get a new class started
for my beater '76 K20. I got laughed out of the room.
I then sold the truck as parts.
The punchline?
The next season, they were racing beater fullsize trucks.
-
velojym, have you ever been to the track at Beebranch? It is supposed to be nice.

Yeah, a fullsize truck class would be cool. It sucks having to compete with cars sometimes, but it's cool when we can still beat them.

Sbc, What type of racing are you referring to? Or just competing in general? I spend some time doing some drag racing. Lorne

I'd go all the time if we had a local track...Way too many tree huggers
-
If mine was running I would race it at the track. My twin races his 2000 RCSB at the track..
-
the only people that ever want to race are at stop lights on busy roads...there's always a cop waiting shortly up the road.
-
I'll be running mine this summer just to see what it runs. We have a local strip it is great. I run my 99 T/A all the time.
-
I DRAG RACE MINE... I LOVE IT ALWAYS LOOKING FOR TRACTION.

Stock heads on what?....a 350? I know of a guy in San Antonio that's running 11's, but I don't know what all he had in his 350. I hope to get in the 11's with stock heads and stock shortblock. Good luck bro.

Cool. So you shouldn't have too much work to do to get 11's. I'm trying to work my way down from 12.8, so I got a long way to go. Do you have any pics or videos of your truck?

I think the NBS guys are using Rancho 9000 shocks, but that may just be in the front I'm not sure. I'll read around more and let you know.
-
ok thanks the rear feels really stiff...
-
Team, Who are the NBS guys?
-
NBS = New Body Style...as in newer chevy trucks. I think OBS(old body style) is 89-98, NBS is 99-06, NNBS(NewNewBodyStyle) is 07+. I learned that on some other forum....took me a while to catch on.
-
Team, Does that make us the OOBS guys? What would it make the ones BEFORE that? Would you put a "B" in front of... ;D Oh I guess that would be the OOOBS guys. I talked with a fellow (Internet) who is using Rancho 9000 on the back of his OOBS truck & is happy with them also. Lorne
-
LOL...Yeah I guess we are the OOBS.
-
Or even Bloody Old Old Bodies then we'd all be in BOOB's lol
