My dad is rebuilding his 82' C20 and has some questions about the engine frame mount bracket. His came with the C6P HD chassis, and the L25 inline 6 engine (ID card w/ options shown below). He has a LS9 he wants to drop in, but we don't believe we have the right brackets to mount the LS9 to the C6P chassis. The other picture I attached is what makes us believe he'll have to drill out the current brackets to make it fit. Under the first 5.7L listing it states that that engine isn't available when the C6P HD chassis is specified "C20 regular Cab. Not available when C6P HD Chassis series is specified". If that engine/chassis combo isn't available together there wouldn't be corresponding frame brackets, correct? Can anyone confirm or deny what we're thinking?
