TB spacer? Work good? Worth the money?
« on: November 23, 2009, 03:19:04 PM »
I am looking at ways to get a little more MPG and performance out of my 89 Sub with 454.
I have seen Throttle body spacers advertised saying that they improve gas mileage and torque. Has anyone run one of these that can tell me what happened in the real world.
Any suggestions as to the brand/type would also help. I have looked at Summit racing and found that they are all about the same with differences in the type of bore, smooth, spiral, grooved, etc. and they are most all $50-100.
Thanks
Scott

You'd be better off investing in a better intake manifold.

OK, thanks, that why I ask. Its a lot cheaper than spending $90 to find out they are a waist of money.

Thanks again.
