Edelbrock Thunder AVS carb on Performer EGR manifold question
« on: October 20, 2010, 10:19:23 PM »
I want to run the Edelbrock 1806 650 CFM AVS Thunder carb on a Performer EGR equipped intake manifold and I was wondering what kind of spacers (Edelbrock seems to make a few--  sells one called an "EGR spacer" that costs around 60 bux and it sounds like what I need, but I want to double check because in the carb instructions it says that there may need to be a special adapter for certain Performer intakes and to check the in closed literature and mine is second hand!) I will need to make it work properly with my EGR and hopefully still employ my stock air cleaner with a K&N drop in.
Thanks,
WT

Edelbrock tech support said all I need is the EGR adapter!  I'll report back when my carb/manifold install is complete.

If it's a spread bore then you need an adapter. If it's a square bore it'll bolt right on. The only reason you may need a spacer is if there is no clearance.
