Super excited to find this group!

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I am so glad I found this, as I recently bought an 82' K10 and it needs tons of work!  Admittedly I have little mechanical experience but am learning quickly.  It has been fun so far and find myself eager to finish the workday/workweek so that I can get to work on my truck.  My ultimate goal is to give my truck to my 11 yr old son for his 16th birthday so I have a few years yet.  Attached is a quick pick of my truck(out of commish right now do to a busted heater core and carb issue...i think), but am well in my way to getting her back up and running again.  I have lots of trees on my property and she is very useful hauling branches to the dump!  FYI - I am located in Milwaukee area.

Very Nice Looking Truck!!  Welcome from Central California.

With that bright red color, it will take more than a few branches to hide it from your son for the next 5 years....  If he has any inkling of what's in store for his 16th birthday, he must be excited!   ;D

Thanks. He is excited but it will come with a lot of work on his part as well. Fun project to learn together. As for how she looks I always liked the stock look. For some reason I am in love with the Chevy Rallye wheels. Might get a little bigger tires but I want to keep it looking mostly stock with a few options.

Thanks everyone. She's definitely better looking from a distance though. Hence the need for some tender loving care.  I do like her bones though!

Welcome from Northeast AZ! That's a nice 82! Reminds me of my 87 although a different color. My dad had an 82 Scottsdale K20. The best looking grille Chevy had on these trucks was that year!
