Harmonic Balancer question
« on: July 19, 2019, 01:10:06 PM »
I have a slight vibration in my 85 C-30 with a 5.7L.  I am thinking I may need a new Harmonic Balancer.  Is there any brand names I should stay away from.  I am looking on eBay as a start.

Have you checked the engine and transmission mounts? I would start there

The transmission has been removed and was a major source of the vibration.  I still feel a little still.  I am going to take all the v-belts off next to see if anything changes.  The engine runs very smooth and sounds really good.

i think pioneer and dorman have had bad reviews.   (Note: i think Dorman is ok with other parts though)

ATI, Fluidamper among others = good.
