Holley 4 barrel to a 2barrel
« on: October 04, 2016, 09:34:11 AM »
I HAVE AN 86 C10 350/ 350 turbo transmission . The carburetor is a holley 4 barrel which uses way to much gas . Can I convert this carburetor to a 2 barrel ? If so how .

If you want to stay carbureted you should look into a quadrajet 4 barrel

You could "convert" it to 2BBL by disconnecting the secondaries, but 4bbl to 2bbl has nothing to do with MPG (unless it's strictly a mechanical secondary carb, which i doubt)   What model holley DO you have?

2  four barrel carbs on an independent runner manifold could theoretically get as good if not better mpg than a single 4 barrel.

Rear axle ratio may be more important to mpg than carbs...
