OK here goes. I am getting a 2003 Chevy 3500 15 passenger church van that was totaled out being hit head on at a stop light. It has a good running 6.0L engine in it. Are there any go to books or articles to source parts and know how to get this accomplished. I have never attempted anything like this before. It is a drive by wire throttle, I want to keep my current stick shift set up with a mechanical speedometer. Looking for what the experts might say on this. My 1986 C10 has no PS, no PB and I want to keep it that way.

Yep, I may end up to frustrated to pursue it. I requested to join a public FaceBook group specifically covering square body conversions. They have good information in their Files section as far as part #'s and vendors to source things needed. They say they're a friendly group...we will see. The extent of my swaps only are carb'd 86 or older going from a 6 to an 8 or SBC to a BBC where a donor truck is all you needed. The wiring is the big thing for me as I haven't even had much TBI experience. I am pretty sure a 6.0L with a manual 4speed OD, no PS, no PB with a mechanical speedometer should be easy enough but I will see.

I did my own wiring harness on the LS swap into my 76 K10
but if I had it to do over again I would just buy one or ship it off and have it done
You gotta ship off the computer and have it re programmed
If you want to do the harness yourself there are several sores with good instructions
And I would not bother removing the unused wires , just cut em off after you’re sure you don’t need em
I did my 73 bronco that way when I transplanted a efi mustang engine cause I was in a hurry , didn’t have any other vehicles to drive , I got all the parts together and did the swap over a long weekend
Also the NV-3500 five speed is a nice trans for street driving if you want another gear in the middle
