Here's the boxes for the philips LED bulbs mounted.  First pic is just left of the radiator on the core support.   Second pic is on right side of core support over battery.  Could have hidden them better but I didn't care about that, where I mounted them was the easiest place to get a drill to use on the self tapping screws. When I mounted them I plugged in both ends of the control box then hung it where the wires weren't tight and i could fit a drill easily to run in the self tappers.

1) - Do I need to install resistors?????  this truck is a 1978 so NO computerized idiot light involved to get confused
2) - Do I need to install a new light harness.  Since LEDs draw less power, will the direct wire to the battery, this harness requires, burn out, blow up or shorten the life of my LED's.  Bulbs are inexpensive to replace compared to the actual headlights.

Thanks.

Didn't have to install a resistor, but did have to swap out the headlight fuse because of no signal blink due to LED's drawing so little power, it wasn't tripping the fuse to blink.

Headlights, I will install tonight.  No new harness install.  If all goes well, I will post a pic of one headlight that is LED and one that is the old incandescent so you can see the difference.

Did you mean a resister for the turn signal lights? They are the blinkey type, right?

Look forward to the pics between the two headlights!

Yes, it is a resister but not an inline.  Plugs I to fuse block in place of regular one
