Hey guys is this a decent way to get vortec heads for the price what all would I have to do to put them on my motor besides the intake, will it be different because this one has a roller cam? I dont think my gen 1 small block does, believe its flat tappit.

I got an entire roller vortec engine for $100 bucks a few months ago with a wrecked crank. I'm rebuilding the heads right now. $250 isn't bad but if the lower end is toast the powder metal rods will be bent most likely. Are you going to rebuild the heads yourself?

Btw what's the casting number?
-
Shoot not sure on the casting number I can ask. I don't know how to rebuild heads I would most likely take them to a machine shop, would I have to change anything since its a roller cam on the vortec motor? Not sure what a usual bill is on these heads from the machine shope. Another guy has a performer intake brand new for 125 for the vortec good deal?
