Post by: 80Chevy4x4 on October 30, 2016, 12:30:07 PM
I have been trying to look all over this site and other sites....I am trying to find the wires for the 4 wheel drive light...i have the switch on top of the transfer case but i can not find the wires or the right wiring diagram to locate where the wires run from.   Thanks

The 4WD indicator switch is illustrated just to the left of the fuse box in the 1980 Wiring Manual (http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/techinfo/7387CKMans//Wiring/ST_352_80_1980_Chevrolet_Light_Truck_Wiring_CK_10_30_Only.pdf#page=9).  The dashed lines mean the switch and indicator only apply to four wheel drive applications.  Check the engine compartment firewall for a two terminal connector that has white and black wires running down toward the T-case.  The T-case harness maybe dangling or may have been removed and discarded.
