You should checkout CaptKaos' build thread.  He's pretty deep into that swap already.  I can tell you that you'll need motor mount adapters, pilot bearing spacer(depending on what trans you use), a wiring harness from a donor truck(you can find the 5.3 harness on ebay pretty cheap), and a ECM(computer).  I did the swap, but I put a carburetor - now I kinda wish I had put fuel injection while I had the chance.  Either way, you'll get tons of "cool points" when you pop the hood and show people what's in there. Check my thread, although currently on hold, we are in the end of the swap, I just need to get the harness connected to crank it.  Then we can get the body work started...
